About this image

The images were taken at the end of dusk as the comet was getting ready to set in the southwest skies of Denver. The comet is magnitude 10 and the mono image shows a faint, narrow tail about 1/2 degree long, the RGB image did not show a tail. The comet was 9 degrees above the horizon when the images were taken in a hazy, light polluted sky which accounts for the poor visual appearance of the images.
