About this image

Not strictly speaking astronomy but I enjoy the challenge of capturing these. This was at 2.40am and it lasted 0.7 sec. Because of the speed I decided to try afocal imaging, eyepiece was 17mm. Telescope set up on a standard camera tripod with an Astrotrac. The 84 frames were extracted from the video using PIPP and stacked using Starstax, then processed in Faststone.

I gather from Facebook you drove 120 miles especially to take this image. That's pretty impressive dedication!

Thanks Dominic! Dedication? My wife as another word for it! Insanity!
