About this image

A clear sky but no asteroidal or lunar occultations to monitor, and the comets were competing with an almost Full Moon, so Jupiter at opposition was a tempting target.

It's been quite a while since I did any planetary work but I managed to record some 1 minute videos with the mono camera and FireCapture and process them with Registax.

Recording Jupiter through different filters nicely displays the wealth of colour in its belts and zones, particularly the Great Salmon Spot, which is bright in the red but significantly darker in blue light.
