About this image

A difficult subject as it lies in the Eastern libration zone and is frequently close to or beyond the limb. On this occasion the libration was moderately favourable, and the seeing was excellent, Antoniadi II. Humboldt is another crater with many floor fractures and a domed floor, and notable for the areas of dark basalt that pooled around its edges. 1000 of 2000 frames stacked in Autostakkert; wavelet processing and histogram adjustment in Registax.
