About this image

One of my favorite areas as it contains my Celestial pet, not the scorpion but my gekko. Most fetching in binoculars, Nick's gekko is on the west of the frame, made up of zeta1 and zeta 2 (the eyes), and NGC 6231 open cluster as the body, IC 4628 emission as the tail.

The Cat's Paw (NGC6334) shows up well near the upper centre right, Messier 6 shows well too but Messier 7 is almost drowned in the brilliance of the Milky Way
