Saturn rides the Dark Horse in Ophiuchus

About this image

A favorite area that eludes me in the UK. Antares to the right with Barnard 44 streaming to the east. The huge complex of dark nebulae best known as the Pipe (Barnard dark nebulae  65,66,67 and 77, 78) but this centres on a larger area of obscuration known as the Dark Horse. Saturn is east of this. Within the field are many Messier objects best seen from this latitude (37 degrees north)
