About this image

Single exposure of the moon taken whilst on holiday in Tenerife. The image was taken through a Canon Eos 80d attached to a sigma 150-600 supertelephoto ed @600mm, I used the tc1401 1.4x teleconverter to extend the focal length to 840mm, I chose the canon 80d over the 6d in this instance because the crop factor of the 80d @ 1.6 gave an overall focal length of 1344mm. luckily the seeing on this evening was very good so I was able to capture a fairly sharp single image. The equipment was mounted to a Manfrotto MT055 Xpro3 which is a very stable tripod.
