About this image

Comet P/2000 S1 Skiff was recovered June 5 as P/2017 L1 and then was named new periodic comet 352P Skiff. It will peak at about magnitude 16 in September and then fade below magnitude 20 in 2018. Unfortunately morning twilight did not make for a very nice image with the 4 NGC galaxies. The comet does have a faint tail to the upper right (SW) of the nucleus.
