About this image

UK deep sky imagers know that M42 is often crossed by slow moving satellites. This is becuase it is not far from the geostationary arc and there is a lot of stuff up there. This is a detail from two 30s frames separated by 30s (full frame here) and it shows at least 7 geostationary satellites and a few pieces of space junk.  I've just spent an entertaining half hour identifying them!
