About this image

A bright display of aurora visible for many hours, some gentle flaming was observed - pulses of light moving quickly upward from the top of the arc - this is always lovely to see, a real treat. Bright moonlight did rob the display of some of its colour and contrast. The aurora slowly faded after midnight.
