About this image

This is a composite of all the objects detected in a 12 minute video clip from 17:16:51 to 17:29:30 UTC on 2017-12-14. There are three meteors here but all the rest of the objects are relatively low orbit artificial satellites which are in sunlight at this time of night. The number of satellite detections falls dramatically later in the evening as the Earth's shadow reaches a higher altitude. A timelapse video of this image is here and this shows how busy the skies are at that time of night.

Should get a good display when they all collide!
