A nearby star to the south of Delta Cep

About this image

Inconspicuously residing just south of the famous variable star Delta Cep, is one of the nearest stars to the Solar system.  The M dwarf binary Kruger 60A and B (HD 239960) at 13.1 L/Y.  The orbital period is 44.5 years, and the separation is similar to that of Saturn from the Sun 9.2 AU.  The B star is also an active flare star.
