Hi Bill,

These UV images are very good, some of the best I've seen. It will be very interesting to see if your new Newtonian can improve on them.

I've borrowed a friends 6" f8 Newtonian and have put that up on my mount as an experiment. Smallish aperture but interested to see if I can improve the sharpness with no refractive elements.

Thanks, Chris! I’ve not yet managed to catch Venus from the site of the Newtonian. I might try putting it on the OMC mount, but I suspect it might be too long to manoeuvre inside the dome. What we really need is Venus a bit higher at dusk, with some better seeing for UV!
