About this image

Mercury near Western elongation imaged in excellent transparency but poor seeing. Out of 20 videos of 3000 frames, only 660 frames were of reasonable quality, i.e 1.1%. A selection of around 2/3 of these was made to obtain the final image stack, which shows several light regions near the terminator and on the limb, in agreement with a reference image from Stellarium subjected to blurring.
