About this image

An image was taken of the Moon and it was noticed that it was about to occult a star, subsequently identified as Theta Cancri. A succession of 53 images were taken, in order to make a video of the event. Unfortunately, the timings are only accurate to the nearest minute as I had not reset the clock on my camera for several days. The video was prepared by e-mailing the images to myself, then flashing them up on my computer screen in quick succession, and videoing the screen with my mobile phone. The video was downloaded onto YouTube and can be seen here:

The result is almost like seeing the occultation in real time.
