has been interested in the "stars" since he was about 8 years old. He joined the JAS (SPA) in his teens, observing the Sun by projection, and timed Lunar occultations. He applied for BAA membership in 1973 June. Then in about 1980 he started visual monitoring of asteroidal occultations using the predictions by Gordon E. Taylor. The European Asteroidal Occultation Network (EAON) based in Belgium provided more detailed predictions, and so his interest continued. In the last few years he has video recorded some nice lunar grazing occultations with good timing accuracy.
In my career I worked in Pharma and later the Agrochemical industry as a physical and analytical chemist, now retired. I coordinate occultation observing for the Asteroid and Remote Planets Section, and the Lunar Section. I am also a member of the International Occultation Timing Association, European section. (IOTA/ES). My other interests include comets and the Deep-Sky.
