About this image

This 18th mag asteroid (Diam 8km +/-1)  occulted TYC 1367-01864-01 (Vmag 9.0) for 0.6sec duration.  I had just attended a meeting of my local AS in Abingdon and was returning home.  I encountered a detour on the journey which gave me only 10min to point the telescope, get a GPS lock and start recording.   A compressed video is at the link.  The blue line is the occulted star with drop. The other lines (yellow-green) are comparison stars in the same field of view used as checks on seeing conditions.  The event is reported to the European Data Base SODIS.
