Ejecta in Oceanus Procellarum

About this image

This region of Oceanus Procellarum lies to the east of Aristarchus, which is just out of the frame to the left. Streaks of light-toned ejecta from Aristarchus are visible around the largely flooded crater Prinz. On the right-hand side of the image are many streaks of ejecta from Copernicus, oriented roughly north-south. At the upper right and centre they mix with splashes of ejecta from Aristarchus oriented roughly east-west.

The green filter was in use because this image was part of a set taken for a different project, However, the seeing was so good that it was worth making a display image from it.
