A mag -1 Perseid recorded as it zipped through Her. (Image rotated 180 degrees).

Meteor rates have been steadily increasing over the past few nights, but as we approach Perseid maximum this year there is a strong correlation between their predicted ZHR and the amount of cloud cover and rainfall. The night of August 11/12 was a washout. Fingers crossed for some clear gaps this evening.
