About this image

Imaged remotely from Siding Spring, New South Wales, Australia. This comet is forecast to become a naked-eye object in December. It's already developing a nice coma: measuring about 5 arcminutes in diameter in this image. There's also a hint of a tail starting to develop. 46P is currently in the constellation Fornax.
