About this image

Saw this in the sky tonight whilst walking to dinner in Pacific Grove, California. Thought "what the hell is that?". Watched it for around 5 mins until it disappeared. Later found out that it was the plume from a Falcon 9 rocket which had been launched just down the coast at Vandenburg AFB.
