About this image

At 5am the only clouds in the sky were in the direction of the comet. These finally cleared about 05:45 as the sky was brightening in the dawn. This is a stack of 7x120s frames taken in reasonable conditions using Denis Buczynski's Takahashi Epsilon and my ASI294MC. The faint ion tail is visible in approx PA 300 with a stubby broader tail in PA 260. This comet is heading for perihelion on December 3rd. It spent most of the summer near Solar conjunction and we have no real idea how it will behave over the next few weeks.
