For some time I have contemplated trying my hand at lunar and planetary imaging and this is my first attempt. Could be better but I was quite pleased with the result as a beginner.

With care the drive on my Dobsonian will track sufficiently well to follow an object at high amplification although it is necessary to monitor and make corrections.

The video was recorded using BackyardEOS software connected to a Canon 1000D camera. The result is created from around 1500 of the 4100 frames recorded, processed in Autostakkert, Registax and Photoshop elements,
