FY UMa in 2018

About this image

During 2018 I started a personal programme of looking at some SR and L stars with no or few recent records, mainly in the 10th to 14th magnitude range, which suits my telescope/DSLR combination. This particular star, FY UMa, also turned out to be in the BAAVSS Pulsating Star Programme. Basing my photometry on Tycho2 magnitudes for four nearby stars ranging from 8.9 to 11.2, so far FY has varied in the range of 9.6 to 10.3 V.
