About this image

A series of drawings showing the total lunar eclipse. I used a 66mm OG at x20 to view the whole eclipse and this provided splendid views of the lunar surface with a stunning amount of detail. I did not draw the lunar disk, I used Stellarium to generate the view at about x20. Overall my impression was that this was quite a dark eclipse and a very cold one!
