About this image

Here's a size comparison of Mars with similar face presented to us- Close to opposition last July when it was ~24" across, versus the diminutive 6.4" it was last night (25th Jan 2019). Polar cap is now about 0.33" across which is close to the Dawes limit of my scope at 0.26".

IR image from last July as RGB much less detailed due to global dust storm in progress back then.

Mars from 25/1/2019 was reprocessed with an improved method in AS3 on 3-2-2019 to bring out more details
