Tycho and Longomontanus

About this image

Contrast the young, sharp-rimmed crater Tycho with the much older and degraded Longomontanus (lower left). Longomontanus has a "central" peak that is a long way from its centre. Is this the only remaining part of a former central ring of peaks?
