About this image

This is my first ever (successful) image of a constellation. Previously I never really considered imaging a possibility without more sophisticated equipment; my hand-held attempts in the past had never resulted in much. Use of a tripod makes all the difference of course. What fun!

well done on your first constellation pic, Alan.

I always have mixed feelings when I see Orion disappearing like that. Sad to see it go, but happy that Spring is on the way....

If ever there was a 'friend in the sky', it must be Orion. It never fails to impress, no matter how many times I see it. I think it was probably the first constellation I recognised as a boy (leaving aside The Plough) and, of course, it's still there . . .
