About this image

This red light drawing was made about 45 minutes earlier than Martin Lewis' observation in IR.

There is very good agreement between the two with both showing broad shading to the North and South darkening as it approaches the cusps. The only significant difference is that I felt I could tease out the cusp caps.

The point is, that with Venus at least, visual observations are still useful in the age of electronic imaging.
