About this image

With a sky lacking in deep-sky objects and having recently collimated the telescope, I decided to target my favourite globular cluster as a test.

M3 (NGC 5272) is one of the brightest globular clusters. Located in the constellation Canes Venatici it has an apparent magnitude of 6.2 and is lies at a distance of approximately 33,900 light years.
