About this image

The best of the images from the montage, slightly enlarged and with an annotated copy. I identified and indicated several of the modules and visiting spacecraft, based on information from NASA's web page on the ISS, but more could probably be identified by aficionados. One set of the heat-rejection panels is in full sunlight, but the other set has various shadows cast by modules that project out of the plane of the image. At the end of the JEM is the Exposure Facility, a platform where samples and experiments are exposed to space before being retrieved by the robotic arm or by astronauts on a space-walk. The famous "cupola" is between the BEAM and the PMM, on the Earth-facing side of Node 3.
