About this image

I have now captured the longer luminance exposures I felt the main galaxy required. Tried 10 minutes but it made little difference on a singe sub compared to 5. There is a definite improvement in the outer region of M106 even with the bright skies of a June night. Perhaps the core has lost a bit of detail.
