About this image

A stack of 20x10s frames looking towards the centre of our galaxy taken just outside San Pedro de Atacama a few days before the eclipse. The skies there were stunning. This was with my Sony A7s on a fixed tripod at ISO 6400 and a 50mm, f/1.8 lens at f/2.8. The individual 10s frames are pretty impressive and this stack was done using Deeop Sky Stacker with no calibration frames.

Jupiter is the bright object top centre. This was practically at the zenith. An awesome sight in a very dark sky.
