About this image

Image captured on nights of 1st and 2nd December 2019.  A total of 6.5-hours integration with 39x600s light frames.  Images calibrated, integrated and processed using PixInsight.

IC342 lies only 10-degrees from the galactic equator.  The galactic dust and gas obscure this galaxy to significantly reduce its brightness, hence it being the hidden galaxy.
