This animated gif shows asteroid (23) 'Thalia' passing a star. This was from a location several miles outside the occultation path. The animation covers about 45 minutes.

Is this supposed to be an animated GIF?

It doesn't appear animated to me.

Unfortunately animated GIFs aren't supported by the website. We hope to build in support at some point in the future but that may be a little way off.
