Title

Venus- more cloud markings!

About this image
The sky cleared a little late, so the skies were somewhat darker than I would usually like, however there were some interesting features on the disk.  The cloud patterns usually appear (to me) as sweeping diagonal cloud belts but the markings recently look rather different with large dusky patches sometimes connected via dusky streaks.  Other points include:
  • Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete- bright spot on/near limb close to the southern cusp cap?
  • Terminator: Geometrically regular.
  • Cusp Caps: Both caps seen but the southern cusp cap was much the brighter of the two.
  • Cusp Collars: Southern cusp collar quite dark, northern cusp collar vague and indefinite.
