About this image

This time of the year is always the best for the moon due to it being high in the sky in the evening. The seeing was also good today so I thought I'd have a go at imaging Gassendi due to the nice rille system on its floor. The result certainly reaches the theoretical resolution of a 250 mm telescope. According to moon trek the smallest craters are around 800m in diameter or about 0.42 arcseconds
