Venus 4th April

About this image
Observation of Venus I made on 4th April.  I had some really good seeing here and I was afforded some of my best views of Venus I've had in a very long time, with the planet perfectly steady in the eyepiece.  Quite remarkable given how clear and transparent the sky was!
  • Illuminated Disk: Some subtle markings, patch like cloud structures seemed to be present.
  • Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
  • Terminator: Geometrically regular
  • Cusp Caps: Both very brilliant tonight but perhaps the northern cusp was slightly brighter.
  • Cusp Collars:  Both present- about equal.
Concluded observations at 1919UT as it was by then, too dark to observe the planet.
