First telescopic view of Mercury

About this image

My first telescopic view of Mercury!  The drawing only shows the phase as the apparent size is rather small, however I am pleased I managed to track down the planet in the daytime sky using setting circles and offsetting from Venus.  I have seen mercury with the naked eye a number of times, and of course I've viewed it when it transited the Sun but this is the first telescopic view of it in ordinary circumstances!
