About this image

A view from our front drive of Venus with Mercury below and to the right as they approach their closest conjunction later this week. Venus is approaching Inferior Conjunction on June 3. Its crescent phase is now easily visible with 10x50 binoculars. Mercury is moving out after Superior Conjunction on May 4 and will remain visible well into June. This is the first time I could see Mercury with the naked eye this apparition.
