About this image

One of many, I suspect, of Comet NEOWISE!  This was taken in the evening while the comet was at an altitude of about 4 degrees.  The sky was barely dark and the tail extends out of the frame on longer exposures but the contrast is too poor to get any detail.  It was just visible to the naked eye but improved as the sky got darker even as the comet got lower.  Excellent sight in 10*50 binoculars.  Reminds me a bit of a (much lower) Comet Bennett (showing my age :-).

Yes I agree  Comet Neowise looks  similar to Comet Benett.   See my  members page of the 13th October 2018 for  a B/W image  from April 1970
