Ion Tail of Comet C2020 F3 NEOWISE

About this image

Image of Comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) taken from a windy Reculver on the Kent Coast. I was really amazed at this comet, very bright. I could see a 2 degree tail with averted vision and was happy that the ion tail became visible in the stack.

Don't look too close the image is a bit noisy to bring out the ion tail and the stars are horrible - probably due t the wind and very low altitude  - I thin the comet was 4 degrees above the horizon!

A couple of time lapse images as well.
