About this image

Thanks to some sizable holes in the nightly tropospheric cloud blanket, I was able to observe this spectacular comet for 25 minutes: my first, and so far only, sighting. Also visible were some random bands of Noctilucent Cloud. At around 2:30 a.m (BST), the ISS passed by a beautiful pairing of the waning gibbous Moon and Mars. Quite a night!
