About this image

C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) is still not visible in a dark sky here so the background of this is rather uneven but this is a shot from this morning as the comet rose. It is with an 80mm FL lens so has a field of view of 16.0 x 10.7 degrees. Both tails are visible for around 10 deg or so. A lovely comet and a lovely naked eye view again last night.

The original image at full scale is here.

The comet is currently so bright that it shows up on individual frames of video from a cheap security camera. This is a timelapse of frame grabs from a £30 IP board camera that I use for monitoring the northern skies for Noctilucent Clouds. It is looking over a neighbour's house towards the NNE horizon.
