About this image

C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) last night from Chelmsford. This is a crop from a larger image taken using a Sony A7s with a 50mm, f/1.8 lens and it is around 20 degrees square. I had quite a few small clouds drifting past and the sky is still quite bright so it was quite difficult to get this flat. There are still faint sky artefacts but I'm quite pleased with it given the starting point. The Ion tail is faintly visible out to beyond 15 deg and the faint outer end of the curving dust tail shows up reasonably well. A lovely naked-eye view again last night with 4-5 deg of tail (the bright inner dust tail) visible in 7x35 bins.
