About this image

One of my last pics I imagine as the moon is coming round again and the weather doesnt look great.

It was still obvious to the naked eye at a tolerably dark site - despite the not-entirely-dark summer sky and its position amidst the thin cirrus that seems to accumulate between me and Warminster. The ion tail is astonishing. I'm tempted to restack some of these on the comet itself rather than the stars as it is moving quite quickly now. The banding in the dust tail seems less obvious than it was.
