About this image

This was an experiment to see whether the detail on Mars in similar seeing conditions showed up better using a 2x Barlow or my 4x PowerMate, both by the same manufacturer.  I caught Mars in an almost identical rotational place to my last posted image two nights ago, although this was an hour later with Mars the highest I've seen it when imaging this year.    I stuck with processing just RGB this time, although I did capture IR data separately not included with these images.

The smaller 2x image is one RGB sequence which was by far the clearest of a number taken at 2x.    The 4x images were more consistent although constant bouts of cloud interfered with some sets and ruined others.  In the end I was able to derotate four RGB sequences of similar quality for the 4x image.
