Jupiter and Saturn Conjunction

About this image

This is my first go at imaging the 'great conjunction' through a telescope (Celestron C9.25, f/10). The atmosphere was absolutely 'boiling' (the planets being less than 9 degrees above the horizon) so I ended up taking a 1200-frame movie through with my DSLR and stacking the best 300 frames.

Here Jupiter and Saturn are separated by just 9.5 arcminutes.
