About this image
A rare clear night but only a small window of opportunity was available yesterday evening. I decided to go for Messier 35 in the constellation Gemini along with the more compact open cluster NGC 2158 at the lower right.
Image is comprised of the following data;
Luminance - 12 subs x 120 seconds bin 1x1
Red/Green/Blue - 12 subs each x 120 seconds bin 2x2
Rain was forecast so this had to be a really quick capture hence just the 12 sub frames for each channel and using bin 2x2 on the camera to capture as much colour as I could with the time available.
The Moon was favourable but the target was very low, 26 degrees above the horizon when I started. High cloud also made a few passes but with so little data every framed counted.
Nice to finally be outside imaging if only for a short while.
