About this image

I believe I have captured the fireball, which was widely reported on social media earlier this evening, on my AllSky Camera (home built & fitted to the roof of my house) on a single image  frame, time-stamped 21:18:06 hours.  My exposures are 30 seconds so it happened between 21:17:35 hours and then.

I’m trying to find other confirmed sightings & timings to validate this but it looks highly likely.

The fireball is the very bright, white streak on the left side of the image.

(Left of the image is South, right is North, top is East, bottom is west.  The centre of the image is the sky directly above you).

Denis Buczynski at Tarbatness recorded this on his video at 21:17:49 as part of the NEMETODE network. It was also picked up from Leeds and Rathmolyon. The ground track was between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
